Understand the prescription context
Antoine Berube presents the accommodative product prescription as it existed on April 22, 2026. The form changes regularly. Some options may be adjusted or removed temporarily. The goal is to improve repeatability, print quality, and correction options.
Reference view at 0:01. Use templates to work faster
The prescription is completed through several steps, but templates can prefill an order. In the top right corner, Manage order from template opens or creates a prefilled form. If you reuse the same recipes often, this reduces the order to one or two clicks.

A PDF guide is available in the top right and should be kept up to date. A beta Preview function shows the 3D model and the effect of a modification. The preview shows only the latest requested modification. It does not yet combine the full prescription.
Reference view at 2:07. Understand what the viewer shows
The viewer shows the standard orthotic transparently with the modified version over it. It is used to compare a modification against the standard. It is not a final render on the real scans. The displayed model remains generic and does not yet include every combination.
Reference view at 3:52. Complete mandatory fields
The first section contains patient and order information. Some fields cannot be modified. Order number, clinic, clinician, patient name, consultation date, and scan technique. If a mandatory field is missing, the submit button disappears.

Depending on the product, shoe size may be mandatory. If entered, it opens the footbed dimensions so the orthotic can be matched precisely to the shoe. Other fields such as internal number, sex, age, weight, height, diagnosis, or foot type are mostly optional.

If the foot is strongly asymmetric, flagging it is recommended. This helps the processing and validation team understand that an asymmetric orthotic is expected. This option remains optional.

In this example, only the accommodative product is available. You can order the right side, the left side, or the full pair. If templates exist, they appear after the product is selected. You can also define the number of identical orders.

Choose the accommodative type, Met Sulcus or Toe for length. Set the cup height, medial arch density, and lateral cutout. The selected width must remain consistent with the footbed width if it was defined.

The lateral cutout affects the width of the front of the orthotic. Narrow is suitable for narrow shoes. Standard, Wide, and Extra Wide mainly change containment and support for the fifth metatarsal and lateral edge.
Reference view at 11:09. Set frame modification, lifts, and flanges
Undercut controls the cut angle between the orthotic and the floor. Lift adds elevation to the heel or forefoot without allowing the forefoot to exceed the heel. Medial and lateral flanges add containment. Their height depends on the cup height.

Arch height can raise or lower the arch. Heelscave adds an intrinsic bevel. ScanExpand adds space to the scan up to 3 mm. Navicular Accommodation and Styloid Accommodation create extra relief beyond what is already visible on the scan.
Reference view at 15:14. Add cutouts and corrections
First Met Cutout and Fifth Met Cutout remove material around the corresponding metatarsals. Forefoot and rearfoot wedges are used to correct varus or valgus. Values are expressed in millimeters and degrees. If a box is not checked, the value stays at zero.
Reference view at 17:17. Add pads and specific accommodations
The Pad section can add several elements, such as a metatarsal pad, heel pad, cuboid pad, forefoot pad, submet accommodation, or toe crest. The selected height often changes the size and clinical effect of the pad.
Reference view at 18:23. Use the Addition section for communication
The Addition section is mainly a reminder and communication area. It does not modify the 3D model. It can capture manufacturing requests, finishing requests, or useful notes for the team that prints or finishes the orthotic.
Reference view at 21:25. Save, discard, or cancel
At the bottom of the page, Save and put on hold saves the prescription and puts it on hold. Discard changes cancels unsaved modifications. Cancel order cancels the order and requires a reason. Once the prescription is locked, the clinician can no longer modify it directly.

Take time to explore the guide and preview before ordering. The interface can change quickly. The goal is to better understand the available options and prescribe more effectively.
