How to print (belt printer)
Move from a validated 3D model to printing
Start printing, manage the queue, and track production.
Check prerequisites before printing
This procedure assumes you have already reviewed the manual marking and evaluation tutorials. Only validated orders can be sent to printing. In the example, two orders first move through an invalid status before they become ready for printing.
Reference view at 0:13. Start the printing workflow
Find the orders that are ready to print and click Begin to start the flow. To print a single order, select only that order so the matching action appears. If nothing is selected, the system uses all orders that are ready to print by default.
Reference view at 0:40. Choose the manufacturing source
A window opens so you can choose the manufacturing source. Internal means production on your own system. External means production by an outside supplier or by Podform3D. In this tutorial, the goal is to print directly with the clinic printer.
Reference view at 1:12. Select the clinic printer
Choose the printer that will receive the production job. If multiple orders are selected, they are sent together to one printer. If production must be split across multiple printers, do that before this step. In the example, printer number 1 is selected.
Reference view at 2:16. Add the order to the queue
Open the printer options panel and select the chosen printer. Confirm that the orders were added to the print queue. By default, an inactive printer keeps the queue in off mode.
Reference view at 3:10. Start printing with Resume
Click Resume to activate the queue. Printing starts when the queue changes from off to active. If several orders are in the queue, they print in the displayed order.
Reference view at 3:21. Manage order or remove a job
Use the six-dot handle on the left to move an order up or down and adjust its priority. Use the X to remove an order from the queue. The order is not deleted from the portal. It simply returns to Validated and can be sent to another printer.
Reference view at 3:40. Understand printer status during printing
Once printing starts, the interface shows the printer state, print status, extruder temperature, and print-bed temperature. You also see the current order, estimated time, and progress percentage.
Reference view at 4:35. Use Pause or Stop at the right time
Pause suspends the print sequence without canceling the current order. Resume restarts the queue. Stop Print completely cancels the current order. It returns to Validated and must be printed again from the beginning.
Reference view at 5:10. Check bed leveling and hardware calibration
Bed leveling runs before every print, including each orthotic side. The measured values appear in the interface. A red indicator does not block printing. It recommends hardware calibration. After calibration, click Refresh data to recalculate the values.
Reference view at 6:25. Use maintenance tools
The maintenance buttons are used to add or remove filament, clean or replace the nozzle, and clean the print bed. Nozzle maintenance heats the extruder for cleaning or replacement. Bed maintenance heats and moves the bed so it can be cleaned with alcohol and a cloth. A clean bed improves print quality and repeatability.
Reference view at 8:54. Use printer utility functions
You can also turn the light on or off, open the camera, and confirm that the camera is aimed at the print head. Emergency Shutdown immediately cuts all power and should be reserved for real emergencies. To stop a normal print, use Stop Print.
Reference view at 10:06. Track statuses after printing
Statuses update automatically as the job advances. You will see statuses such as Finished, Delayed, Package, Shipped, and Received by Clinic. These statuses support full case tracking through completion.
Reference view at 11:59. Reprint one order or one side
Open the options for an order with the anchor button and choose reprint. You can reprint the left side, the right side, or the full pair. Then select the printer to use. This method lets you resend an order without going through the main bottom-of-page flow again.
